Create a new document (new layer), adjust the setting as you wish, OK. Or if you wish to combine two images, just open the first image. It will be the first layer.
Open the second image, select all (ctrl + A), choose Edit menu, copy and paste in the first image (or you can just drag the second image to first image).
At your right hand side, there’s layer panel. Activate the second image (layer which contains the second image), click Add Layer Mask icon (the rectangle one with a circle inside).
Click Gradient Tool which is at your left hand side. Drag your mouse from the first image area to the second image area. Do it over and over again ‘til it’s done as your wish to be.
Done!
