I guess you’ve heard about a well-known temple in Yogyakarta named Prambanan Temple. But, have you ever visited another temple around Prambanan? There’s a lot of smaller temple around Prambanan, one of them is Ratu Boko Palace. It takes only 10 minutes of driving from Prambanan Temple. You just need to turn right in Prambanan t-junction (from the west), go down the street and follow the sign. But if you’re about visiting Prambanan Temple, Prambanan Temple Management has provided their visitors a Prambanan-Ratu Boko package which costs 50000 rupiahs. By buying a package instead of buying individual tickets for both temples, they will provide free transportation from Prambanan to Ratu Boko.

If you plan to visit them separately, that’s fine. You’ll be charged around 25000 rupiahs for the entrance ticket if you come before 3 PM, but if you arrive after, you’ll be charged more expensive, around 100000 rupiahs because it’s a sunset time. If you wonder why Sunset Time makes you have to pay more, enjoying sunset in Ratu Boko Palace is beyond amazing! If the weather is clear enough, you’ll be lucky to see beautiful sunset sky with temple’s silhouette there.

If you don’t wanna pay more and just enjoy the temple in the noon, don’t forget to bring your umbrella since it will be quite bright and hot. Just in case you don’t bring so, there are several gazebos provided for you to take a rest. It’ll be a great idea also to have picnic there since there are several wide grasslands around Ratu Boko.
So, what are you waiting for?
